Support Healthcare in Namibia
Your donations will help the Meditag Foundation digitize medical records and provide sponsored Medical Passports for vulnerable communities in Katutura, Oranjemund, and remote areas.
How Your Donations Are Used
Every contribution funds the digitization of paper medical records, enabling secure, accessible healthcare for Namibia’s elderly and underserved. Below is a breakdown of the key steps and their costs.
Scanning Paper Records
Medical students and student nurses scan paper records, costing N$50–N$100 per patient, depending on record volume (e.g., a few pages vs. extensive histories).
Data Input
Students enter data into the Meditag system, costing N$100–N$300 per patient, based on complexity and time required.
Verification by Practitioners
Qualified medical practitioners verify data accuracy, costing N$100–N$200 per patient, ensuring reliable records.
Data Storage
Secure cloud storage costs N$50–N$100 per patient annually, maintaining compliance with data protection laws.
Total Annual Cost per Patient: N$300–N$700, combining one-time digitization (N$250–N$600) and annual storage (N$50–N$100).
Our Commitment to Transparency: At Meditag Foundation, everyone involved in creating a Medical Passport is fairly compensated. Medical students and student nurses, who scan and input data, earn income to support their studies, benefiting both patients and these aspiring healthcare professionals.
